  • She is associate professor in orthopaedics with 18 publications in the field of shoulder and elbow surgery

  • She is supervisor for several PhD students investigating upper extremity surgery and active in presenting at both national and international conferences
  • She was awarded by the Swedish orthopaedic society, SOF, for the best orthopaedic PhD thesis 2012 and the best national paper by the European elbow and shoulder society, SECEC, 2013
  • She is secretary of the Swedish shoulder and elbow society since four years
  • She is Co-founder of a Nordic scientific collaboration network performing randomised multicentre studies on shoulder pain, calcific tendinitis and rotator cuff tears

Lars Adolfsson, MD, PhD

  • He is Professor and Consultant at the Department of Orthopaedics, Linköping University Hospital, Sweden and specialist in Orthopaedic surgery and Hand surgery with a particular interest in treatment of trauma and disorders of the upper extremity

Shawn W O’Driscoll, MD, PhD

  • He is recognized as the worldwide leading teacher in elbow surgery and research
  • He is host of the outstanding annual Mayo Clinic „Teach the Teachers“ advanced elbow surgical skills course
  • He focuses in clinical and basic laboratory research in sports medicine on elbow biomechanics, kinematics, ligament injuries and reconstruction, fractures and fracture fixation, elbow contractures, and elbow arthroscopy
  • Among others, his research based concepts of elbow instability and elbow biomechanics are the principles of todays understanding of the pathomechanics in elbow instability
  • He developed and published key provocative clinical signs for establishing the diagnosis of such conditions as ulnar collateral ligament injuries in throwing athletes, biceps tendon tears, and instability
  • He published over 180 peer reviewed and PubMed listed papers

Graham JW King MD, PhD

St. Joseph’s Health Centre, London, Ontario, Canada

  • Chief of Surgery and Director of the Roth McFarlane Hand and Upper Limb Centre at St. Joseph’s Health Centre
  • He is a Professor in the Departments of Surgery, Medical Biophysics and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Western Ontario
  • He established the Bioengineering Laboratory at the Hand and Upper Limb Centre at St. Joseph’s Health Centre. With his collaborators he has developed strong linkages with the Departments of Medical Biophysics and Mechanical Engineering
  • His current research interests focus on the biomechanics of the wrist and elbow as well as computer and image guided surgery
  • He published more than 290 peer reviewed and PubMed listed papers and 90 book chapters
  • He has received the Premier’s Research Excellence Award from the Government of Ontario and the J. Edouard Samson Research Award from the Canadian Orthopaedic Research Society
  • He has served as the president of the Canadian Orthopaedic Research Society

Roger van Riet BCs, MD, PhD, Guest Professor (University of Antwerp)

  • His clinical interests include the treatment of degenerative joint disease, sports injury and trauma, with a focus on arthroscopic techniques and joint reconstruction. He works with a number of national sporting organizations, clubs and professional athletes
  • He is clinical adviser to a several Orthopaedic manufacturers and has designed a number of surgical procedures and implants
  • He published more than 70 peer reviewed and PubMed listed papers
  • He is Associate Editor for the Annals of the Royal College of Surgeons and sits on the Editorial Board for the National Joint Registry and Shoulder and Elbow Journal
